Norma Sass har vist oss det at hvis man setter seg et mål og jobber hardt nok, kan man oppnå mye på utrolig kort tid. For de er virkelig ikke lenge siden vi så disse fem jentene holde en av sine aller første konserter på en scene i hovedstaden. Helt uventet og utsprunget fra ingensteds var Norma Sass plutselig et kjent navn. De rakk knapt å si hva de het før de var booket til Øyafestivalen, vant Zoom Urørt, ble en kjempesnakkis på By:larm, var B-listet på P3, og spilte på Lydverket.
To år og en haug av konserter senere er debutplata klar. “Hunting for Treasures” er spilt inn og produsert i havgapet rett ved Ålesund, i Ocean Sound Recordings. Sammen med produsent Eyvinn Magnus Solberg har Norma Sass dokumentert bandets låthistorie på bånd i form av elleve knallsterke låter som sniker seg under huden, treffer deg i hjertet og rett og slett forvirrer deg litt.
Albumet har fått strålende anmeldelser og jentene er nå på Norgesturne for å promotere albumet. Bandet har allerede fått henvendelser fra Paris, Montreal, Manchester, Taiwan og Hollywodd. På By:larm i år spilte de for et fullsatt Sentrum Scene og Dattera til Hagen, og turnerer for tiden rundt i Norge.
We are a Norwegian pop quintet living and making music in our home town, Oslo. We have been playing together for around three years, and during 2009 we won the Norwegian broadcast competition of “Best new live-band”, Zoom. This won us a tour of Norway! So we toured 16 cities of our beautiful country and learned lots while we met all sorts of great people and got to fish salmon in a huge river, eat dried reindeer heart and party backstage with smelly rockers. We also got some songs aired on Norwegian radios A- and B-lists, played the ØYA-festival and By:Larm and released our first EP “A Dance Of Victory The Morning After”. Great fun. We are still working hard but mostly enjoying the possibilities to play concerts, be creative and share good moments and music.
Our debut album, Hunting for Treasures, was released January 24th!

First time I hear the band was on “9 months of snow” a snowboard film from 2010 featuring the resorts ruka and Phya which im pretty sure are in finland. I was completely blown away by the unique singing style the band was portraying. The way the pitch of the vocals bounces around is second to none.
